2026 Blue Dress Breakfast

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 2026 Blue Dress Breakfast and helped make this year’s event such a meaningful success.

Your generosity, compassion, and commitment to our neighbors across Seattle and King County continue to make a lasting impact through the work of St. Vincent de Paul of Seattle | King County.

Because of your support, families facing housing instability, food insecurity, and other hardship can continue to access critical services including emergency rent and utility assistance, food and basic needs support, case management, and compassionate home visits from Vincentian volunteers. Together, we're helping neighbors remain safely housed and connected to care during times of crisis.

On May 12, 2026, we gathered to celebrate the incredible work of St. Vincent de Paul across King County, together with leaders from across backgrounds – government, education, business, clergy, donors, volunteers and Vincentians.

The morning began with an invocation of Father Steve Sundborg, Interim President of Seattle University and long-time friend of St. Vincent de Paul. In the words of Matthew 25, “For I was hungry and you fed me,” Father Steve shared stories of real neighbors who have been offered life-changing care through the hands of Vincentians.

We also heard from Connor Geraghty, Assistant Superintendent for Mission and Catholic Identity, who shared the impact of the partnership between Catholic Schools and SVdP, as Georgetown serves as a mission immersion site. This experience helps students put into practice their learnings and the values of compassion and care in light of the mission of St. Vincent de Paul.

The event ended with Paula Holmes, SVdP's board president sharing a story of impact from the mission work by Vincentians and asked attendees for their support.

If you were unable to attend or would still like to support, there's still time to make a gift and help strengthen the safety net for thousands of individuals and families.
